Upload an ics file

Is there a way to upload an ics file? I'd like our readers to be able to click on a button entitled "Save the Date", which would then download an ics file for them to add to their calendar.  I have not been able to determine how to do this. Is it possible? (I do not want to create an event. This would just be in an e-mail).

Thanks, Stephanie

Hello all. At this time this feature is not yet available. We've heard a similar request for the ability of an "Add to Calendar" link or button that could be added to an email. If you could like to see this functionality, we request that you visit this post and leave a comment or click the thumbs up icon to leave a vote. This goes directly to our Product team.

This hasn't had a bump in about a year so it's time.  Seriously, let me upload .ics for people to click and add to their calendars.  The workarounds are a pain, not everyone has access to host the .ics online and the Eventbrite option is cumbersome.

Also here to bump this request. All I want is to be able to attach an .ics file to a button and not include an entire RSVP block. I also don't want to have to create a new webpage on our website in order to host the link (Wordpress gives me nightmares) or go through Eventbrite because it's a needless step. Other email platforms include .ics file compatibility as part of their basics, so please just give us what we want and not all these unnecessary "workarounds".

Here to get this back on the top of the pile. Please add ics functionality.

We need a simple Add to Calendar option for emails. The Events campaign type requires my users to go through an unnecessary registration process for something that shouldn't require a registration. And the RSVP widget is severely limited in its customization options.
