User Friendly Suggestions

I requested some user friendly updates. The support team thought they could post it here to see what the community thought. I didn't see it so I'm posting it to have a real discussion.

A little about me, I've worked on computers since I was 12yrs old. I'm 35 now. I'm a year away from completing my full-stack, software engineering degree.

1. List View - consolidation, more defined quick links (routing)/viewable information

-please allow me to remove the giant calendar icon next to each event. It's unnecessary white space. I've never used it.

-perhaps allow for us to choose our view, i.e. condensed, card, list. This can also be considered "customizing your work space."

     - I like organizing my folders and returning to the same organization. It's not my favorite to return to a screen and have to filter each time. I recommend allowing individuals to begin with folders and unfiled events the same we would in windows explorer or finder. It would be more relatable.

     - the current quick links/ info provided in list view : Title, type, start date, countdown, and number of registrants. - When you click on the event, it brings you to the dash, that's good. ---- When you click on registrants, it brings you to reports (?). Can you have it bring me to the actual list of registrants please? I can pull a CSV from there as well. If I'd like to run a report, I can select the report tab. ---- Add Promo Codes to list view. I'm not sure about anyone else but our promo codes change with the event. Unless I put the codes in a spreadsheet, I have to circle back into the event then the settings all to get a promo code for each event. (If I'm required to have 2 factor, I think I can can promo codes visible on the campaigns list view.)

Maybe add a register someone link in campaign list view? I sometimes have to support individuals in registration. It's a valuable quick link.

In summary, take up less white space, make the lists more functional and efficient for each individual with customizations.

2. Navigation

Please allow us the ability to navigate from one event to the other more quickly. Perhaps when in one event dashboard, you provide a drop down list at the top to select alternative events. By using this drop down, I could go to another dashboard. - please see qualtrics projections.

3. 2-Factor

I appreciate your concern for our safety. As I have stated earlier, I have experience in computer science, I would like the option to use the 2-factor or not. I am operating in a business account. It is inappropriate to use my personal cellular number for this exchange. There are no cellular alternatives. Thank you, I'd rather not use a ghost number. - One could argue it's a data mining technique.

Please let us know if you support these suggestions for your functionality.

Hello @JosephH56918,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and providing us with your feedback! We also suggest you submit your feedback to our Help Center so our engineering team can review that as well. I can give you the recommendation of putting your campaigns in folders so you can go to each event more quickly.  Also, to see your list of registrants for an event please click here. Thanks again!

I've already reached out to the engineers. The response I received felt as though they chose to dismiss my feedback.

While I appreciate the folder suggestion and I have been using it, that does not change the view of the list when I login to my account. I have to begin setting up the view I want before I can even begin working. Professionally, I believe the campaign list view is inefficient and time consuming. My suggestions have been well thought out. While I appreciate your suggestion, I believe I'm looking for a more in depth solution.

Thank you. I cannot accept your response as a solution.

That actually sounds great. I've emailed the engineer I was corresponding with again as well. I sent him screenshots of another website layout as reference. If had to block out details for here, but this is what I sent.

The clean lists shows folder or all but still consolidated. I'd love it if I could see my promo codes there too though. Registrants that bring me to the actual registrants page. # of Registrants, Dates are good, and Register someone maybe? Maybe make them columns and we can choose what we see or what's there.

The navigation image shows a drop down list at the top left where I can jump from project to project regardless of the folder. It saves me a lot of time and makes me a more efficient user.Campaign Movement - Drop Down Option.pngClean Lists.png

As you can see, we host  A LOT of events. Your website is programmed to auto open when I open my browser in the morning.

If only y'all didn't REQUIRE me to use the 2-factor. I have to use my personal cell. It's an issue when colleagues are logging on. We practice strong password standards. Also, there's nothing stored in this system that they could get their hands on to truly hurt us. The CC number isn't available. It only shows the last 4 digits.

Ok last one and I bet I'm pushing it if I haven't already. Is it possible to get a budget reporting the individual event dashboard? Include all the refunds, discounts, etc. and the report would pre-populate total revenue. I know EventBrite has something similar... I don't have to go into a spreadsheet and add all my formulas. It also shows fees paid to the platform.

Just curious. Most people using this site aren't financial analysts.

Hello @JosephH56918,

The Multi-factor Authentication is a required feature at the moment to keep your information safe, but I will gladly submit your feedback on that as well! You will want to export your full reporting of all the information possible under the Event Dashboard. Please select this helpful article here for the steps. Thanks!

Yes, I understand the multi factor is for our security. Respectfully, I would appreciate being able to determine for myself if my information is secure.

No custom budget reporting, got it.

You're very helpful. Please pardon if I came off short.

I am utilize the reports more frequently within the last year. I was looking for one to provide all the data you mentioned plus totals. If there could be a form where I can enter other expenses so it auto pulls a full balance sheet, y'all would be my hero.

Again, these are only feedback suggestions. I understand the extensive backend programming that would need to take place for these changes. I appreciate the effort and consideration.
