Why does CC remove <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

I noticed that after saving my code in constant contact editor that this meta tag is being removed:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

Is there a work around to override this from being removed?
