I agree with the comment about updating "confirmed" emails to be cumbersome. As a former software developer, you should have a button for the customer to click to either update it directly within the recipient profile form, or send an email to them asking for them to update and by sending the email back, give permision again. Administrators should not have to spend all this time for simple tasks.
Thank you for adding your vote and ideas to this thread. A customer can update on their own by using the "Update Profile" link at the bottom of the email but it will send the same update email. I understand how updating each contact involves many steps and I have passed this along for you.

I find it incredible and appalling that the ADMINISTRATORS of the account have to follow such a tedious process to update customer's confirmed email addresses! This should be fixed ASAP.

I agree. We are a non-profit religious organiation and our list of email address comes from our current pastors all over the state. We have to have a way of just changing their email address without all this gooblie goop. I just had to change an email address (because a pastor has updated us with his new email) and I spent half and hour trying to figure it out. The screen that has all of his data on it did not give any indication we could change/edit the email field. Only by clicking on the email address did it open up for updating.
That's my 2 cents worth.
The inability for an administrator to be able to change/update a subscriber's email address is inexusable. For several years YOUR customers have complained about it. When are you going to fix this?
Unfortunately at this time I don't have an update on this but I passed along all of your feedback on the topic. Just to confirm, is the workaround of removing the existing confirmed contact and adding a new one not working for you or does it seem like to many steps?

I'll add my voice. We have a confirmed subscriber unable to follow the instructions to Update their email address (it's anything but straightforward to explain - click, confirm, wait for email, click, then Update) and we''re unable to edit their email address.
I am able to add another email address, then remove the first from any lists. But I have no idea if this will actually work.
Why not have the system send a confirmation email when an admin edits? Reconfirms the change and all is peachy.
Hi Jeannine. I'm sorry that this is giving you some trouble.
If this was a confirmed opt in email that is correct unfortunately you cannot update their email address manually in the system. It has to be done using the update profile process. I would leave specific feedback you have about the process to our Contact Management and Reporting area. Our engineers monitor these boards and they could take your feedback and hopefully get it implemented in the future. I am sorry for the trouble it causes you in the mean time.
