downloaded photos are rotated 90 degrees

some of the photos I try to download to my newsletter are uploaded rotated to a 90 degree angle  How do I turn the right side up?

Some devices when they take images, particularly mobile devices and especially iOS devices, will cause images to be saved rotated at 90 degrees when uploaded to other devices. Fortunately this can be quickly and easily rectified using the image editor.
