how to email an event

I created an event for a select few so I do not want to post it on social media.  I want to email it to my guests. I need them to fill out the registration form.

When I go to the "email your event" , it turns out to be that I have to recreate the full event! The "map" does not even generate. It looks like I would have to somehow include a map myself....

The blocks are misleading. They say : " your title will appear here". So I thought my event would be automatically reproduced but not at all. I have to recreate it all and I have no idea how to include the registration form.

Please help.

Actually... I just managed the email!

I sent it to myself and it worked but there is one weird thing: the landing page- which has details about the event- only appears at the very end if people think of clicking the "go back to event info" which some may choose not to do...

Hello @elisabethd22,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! That event invitation will automatically populate everything you have already created. If you select preview, you will see that your title and the map will appear. Everything in parenthesis on that invitation is going to pull up what you have already entered. Thanks!

Thank you very much for responding Zoe! I am puzzled though because what you are describing is what I expected to see happen but it is not the case... there must be something I am not doing right and I cannot figure out what it is...

Hello @elisabethd22,

You may need to create a brand new event invitation if you are not seeing the information populate in preview mode. In editing mode, it will say placeholderer information that you already stated.

Hello @elisabethd22,

The landing page is completely optional. It always appears as a link in the invitation and you can choose to not display the Landing Page link by unchecking the box next to it on the registration tab if you want.

Also, is it possible at all to not have the following options when people register? I do not want them to share on  FB or tweet since this is a private event. Is it possible to only have the green message and not the FB and tweet ? Thank you for your helpelisabethd22_0-1627846122921.png

Hello @elisabethd22. I wanted to chime in here and let you know that the share option can be disabled to not show on the confirmation page. Apologies for any confusion!
