how to set "decline" option for event registration?

I have drafted my first Event, which includes an invitation to an annual meeting and a registration form. I want to include an option to decline the invitation on the registration form. I included a custom field "Decline", but that does not show up on reports. I know there's a way to do this, but do not see directions. Please help!

The decline option is available for the event invitation emails, and is used within the event to avoid sending further non-responder-only emails to such contacts. If you're not seeing it in an invitation you're building / copied over, you may need to drag over a fresh, new Invitation block to your invite email. Otherwise, there isn't a decline button that can be added to event landing pages. For more info, voting, and voicing of use cases, please see this Feedback thread.
