Thank you for bringing your question about your PayPal link to the Community Forum! I do see you were able to speak with a support agent, to confirm that this is functioning as designed, but I wanted to make sure to reach out here in case anyone else had a similar concern.
When the test email is sent, it is pulling in your information. When the email is sent out live, it will pull the information for the customer, and they will be able to purchase from you.
