"Awaiting confirmation" ... for 8 years: how to reset?

Occasional Participant

At our small org, we issue email addresses by first name, i.e.,


We have 3 new staff members assigned with email accounts that existed for past staff members of the same name.


We cannot subscribe these new staff members to our CC emails, as the previous 3 never confirmed, and we can't resend those per CC rules.


Advice needed, thank you.
