"Download images below" message in Gmail

I recently had some new email templates designed by an external designer, which have a more sophisticated design, more sophisticated background and use more images. Since starting to use these new templates, when I send 'test' versions of my emails to myself in Gmail, the email appears without images and there is a link saying 'Download images below'. Is there a limit on the amount of data that an email can contain after which this 'Download images below' messages appears? Is there anything I can do about this within Constant Contact, or is it a Gmail issue? I would love to know that my email contacts are receiving fully downloaded versions of our emails with all images showing without having to go that extra step to click to download the images. If that means simply reducing the size of the images I use, I can do that, but I'm not sure if that is the issue! Help!!

Hello @ErinL262,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! Your email client will usually have you download your images first before they can display them. It's a way to protect your information just in case you get an email that you did not want. It is not something we can control on our end unfortunately and I do apologize for any inconvenience.
