If a subscribed reader forwards our CC email to a friend or family member and the recipient would like to subscribe in order to receive our emails directly, how can we add a subscribe button to our email?

I'd suggest just adding a link to one of your signup forms. If you're using a integration or coded form on your main website, you can just link to that page. If you're using a landing page sign up form, you can include its link in your email. Maybe some wording to the effect of:
