why is "paste" not working?

I am copying and cutting info from the body of my email, as well as from outside documents, but it will not allow me to "paste" with the right click of the mouse pad or w/ Ctl V

Hello @SallyR746 ,

 

Are you clicking into the text block you're trying to paste into, then right-clicking/CTRL-V'ing? A text block needs to be active in order to paste into first.
