Re: API Keys

Constant Contact currently supports two authentication models, basic and OAuth. Basic authentication requires use of an accounts username, password and api key in order to access resources. OAuth authentication is a mechanism by which the user (a Constant Contact account) can grant access to his protected resources to an application without exposing his username and password to the same said application. In short, the consumer secret is only required if you intend to implement OAuth authentication and is not necessary for basic authentication.
