Adding a Subscriber to a Second List

A developer on a third party site has added a our CCSFG form to their site for registering for a webinar. We've found that if someone tries to register and they're on another list of ours, they get the message "Sorry. It appears that you are already a subscriber of our mailing list." even though they're not a subscriber on the seminar list. The developer says this is a limitation of Constant Contact, is this correct?

Our form code below.

<form id="ccsfg" name="ccsfg" method="post" action="">

<p align="left"><label>First Name</label><br><input class="input" type="text" name="FirstName" id="FirstName" style="width: 220px"></p>
<p align="left"><label>Last Name</label><br><input class="input" type="text" name="LastName" id="LastName" style="width: 220px"></p>
<p align="left"><label>Email Address</label><br><input class="input" type="text" name="EmailAddress" id="EmailAddress" style="width: 220px"></p>
<p align="left"><label>Company Name</label><br><input class="input" type="text" name="CompanyName" id="CompanyName" style="width: 220px"></p>
<p align="left"><label>Job Title</label><br><input class="input" type="text" name="JobTitle" id="JobTitle" style="width: 220px"></p>
<p align="left"><label>Work Phone</label><br><input class="input" type="text" name="WorkPhone" id="WorkPhone" style="width: 220px"></p>

<input type="hidden" checked="checked" name="CustomField1" value="[[id]]" id="CustomField1" /><br />
<input type="hidden" checked="checked" name="CustomField2" value="[[datetime]]" id="CustomField2" /><br />

<input type="hidden"  checked="checked"  value="Seminar" name="Lists[]" id="list_Seminar" />

<!--  Success / Failure Redirects  -->
<input type="hidden" name="SuccessURL" value="[[id]]&email=[[email]]&name=[[name]]" />

<input class="submit" type="submit" name="signup" id="signup" value="Reserve My Seat" />

Hi Nigel,

The CCSFG is limited to only being able to create contacts in the account. This message will be returned regardless of what list the contact is on, if they are in the account at all. It is possible to update contacts, and we do have a version of the CCSFG that will push updates, but this can cause issues, as anyone can send an update for any existing email address - regardless if they are the owner of the email or not.

If you speak with the developer, and decide that you would like the update version of the CCSFG, please email us at Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply Nick. We are bypassing CC with a different webinar/registration system now so we're not using CCSFG due to this issue. Thanks again. -Nigel
