I was using Vertical Response and am trying out Constant Contact. One of the issues I am running into is that I use a background image for my form that I am not willing to give up. Vertical response gives me a signup form that is css stylable. The Formstack Form does not work for my purpose so I was directed to use the API. Problem is, I am not a programmer. I'm pretty good at html and css...and can poke around php some but I'm not a programmer.
The code I currently use and works awesome (with Vertical Response) is:
<form method="post" action="http://oi.vresp.com?fid=xxxxxx" target="vr_optin_popup" onsubmit="window.open( 'http://www.verticalresponse.com', 'vr_optin_popup', 'scrollbars=yes,width=600,height=450' ); return true;" >
<div style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 11px; width: 250px; height:250px; padding: 0px; background-image:url( http://www.familyhorses.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/EmailForm250alt.png); background-position:center; ">
<input name="email_address" size="30" style="margin-top: 5px; border: 1px solid #999; padding: 3px; margin-top:150px;"/><br/>
<input type="submit" value="Subscribe" style="margin-top: 30px; margin-left:125px; border: 1px solid #999; padding: 3px; width:80px;"/>
<H1>Sign up for our email list</H1>
<form action="index.php" method="post">
<input type="text" name="EMAIL" maxlength="50">
<input type="submit" name="submit" value="Submit" />
What are my options for doing something similiar with Constant Contact without hiring a programmer?
I'm afraid we don't have anything quite like what you have now, but you can certainly sign up to get an API Key (follow all of the instructions on this page), download our PHP library here and use the example signup form code in the examples folder. That way you have full control over your formatting, and you only have to modify the PHP to map to your html form inputs.
