I am trying to integrate Constant Contact with the WP theme Profit Builder

I am trying to get a test website to work so that I can integrate it over to the permanent site.

We are using WP Profit Builder theme (http://wpprofitbuilder.com/) as our main theme. It has the 2 step optin capabilities that is popular right now.

I was given the html code: <!-- BEGIN: Constant Contact Email List Form Button --><div
align="center"><a href="#" class="button" style="background-
color:#e8e8e8;border:solid 1px #5b5b5b;color:#5b5b5b;display:inline-
block;padding: 8px 10px;text-shadow:none;">Get Instant Access</a><!--
BEGIN: Email Marketing you can trust --><div id="ctct_button_footer"
align="center" style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-
size:10px;color:#999999;margin-top: 10px;">For Email Newsletters you
can trust.</div></div>

But this is not an integration code. It is only an html button code.

I have made the API key: pk5xmttrpu829vyxn6jrzfu5

With the access token: 0890a9e1-ac4f-4992-9e55-15b42c6f769f

I have tried these in various ways to get the 2 programs to integrate, but nothing is working. Basically, I just want the info in the form on Profit Builder to be sent to Constant Contact.

Has anyone else integrated these 2 programs?

Does anyone have an idea on how to make it work?

Thanks,

Steve W Davis

Re: I am trying to integrate Constant Contact with the WP theme Profit Builder

Hello,

I'm sorry that you are having trouble with your Wordpress integrating with Constant Contact. There are a few ways to do what you're describing. The first would be to use our PHP Software Developer Kit which is available at http://developer.constantcontact.com/libraries/libraries.html and create a form for your page. There are several working examples that you are free to use as you see fit. This does involve some programming knowledge (or a developer) but allows you to create a solution that is tailored to your needs.

Another option that is available is the 'Constant Contact for Wordpress' plugin. This is free and was built by a Constant Contact partner, and will certainly allow you to set up a signup form. This can be found at:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/constant-contact-api/

We are also in the process of developing a much more simple form than the one we have available from within the site. This will allow you to prompt for simply their name and email address and will take care of the rest for you. This will be embeddable. This is still in development though and could take up to 8 weeks, but wiill also work very well with your Wordpress theme, without any further configuring needed.
