get a list of default fields

Hi,

Is there a way to request the API to get the standar fields, or (if not) a page that list all the standar fields names so I can hard code them in a html select ?  I would like to fill a dropdown with all the default/standard fields to allow my users choosing from them

Another thing is about custom fields, from what I understand so far, I can't get a list of custom fields for a specific list ? right ?

Thank you for reaching out to Constant Contact API Support.

If you are looking for a list of the field names that you can submit with contacts, all of the items listed here which are not read-only are the fields that can be submitted: http://developer.constantcontact.com/docs/contacts-api/contacts-collection.html?method=POST#structur...

As for custom fields, all contacts can have custom fields 1-15 regardless of the list they are on, but if you are needing to get a list of all contacts (including the custom fields stored for them) you can use the method described here: http://developer.constantcontact.com/docs/contact-list-api/contactlist-membership-collection.html
