On importing my contact list, Constant Contact will not accept a period in the name.

Sorry, you don't get to make that rule. Many universities and other organizations have multi-part email addresses with the format: firstname.lastname@domain.com. For CC to decide that is an error is not advisable.

Hello @DeborahR2569,

Having a period in the email address or the name is not a limitation of Constant Contact, you are able to upload contacts with a period. To properly track your request, are you able to clarify exactly what you're seeing? Where do you see this error and what does it say?

Status changed to: Closed - No Action

Since we have not heard from you in a couple of months, we are closing this out. If you are still having an issue, please create a new post or contact our Support Team.
