Redirect to login does not redirect to login

When you are logged out due to inactivity you are given two options. The first is to say that you are done. The second is for if you'd like to log back in. When you click the option to log back in it takes you to a page where you can fill out a form to request info on something... not to the login page. There is no place to log in on the page it redirects you to. It's very annoying. Please fix.

It seems so simple and obvious, but in the past when I raised it to support people they couldn't seem to get what I was saying. I'm hoping I've finally explained it in a way that will get through. I actually would prefer that more time be available before they log you out. Most of the time I am working on multiple projects and it's often frustrating to go back to an email and find I have to click out click back several times, then remember where I left off because it's no longer on the screen. So I guess I would add on to the suggestion that it would be really great if the system held on to where you were and served it back up when you log back in (specifically in a case where you were timed out.)

That makes sense.  Thank you for the feedback.  I've opened this up for voting and will share the feedback with our Product Team.

Strongly agree with JulieL34!

It is very frustrating to be deep in Constant Contact working, have the timeout kick us out, then have to navigate all the way back to where we were working.

The Constant Contact software KNOWS WHERE WE ARE at all times.  As a retired professional programmer, I assure you that it is TRIVIAL to save the state of our session when we are forcibly evicted!

Still using Chrome and this is still an issue. I feel like this is an easy fix. Just make the login button go to the login page.

Hi @JWicks. Do you happen to remember what page you were on in your account before the timeout message appeared? This might help us to determine why you aren't being redirected to the login page.

It is when I am timed out of my account and it displays a page that says something to the effect of you have been logged out, please log back in and gives a link to log in which takes you to the home page where you have to click log in again.

Thank you, @JWicks. Our teams are investigating why there is an additional step here. We're trying to see if the page where the timeout occured might have something to do with it so if you are able to find this information, it would be helpful.

when we've been off the program for awhile, instead of asking whether we're still working, going back to the template, and then "can't save you must log in again" ... why not just direct us to log in again?

So here we are, four years later, and this has still not been fixed. Is anyone actually looking at it?

Hi @JulieL34. We found that this usually happens when you are logged out in certain areas of your account, mainly the Contacts area. We are making progress but do not have a full update to share.
