unsubscribes and deletions

0 Votes
Why does Constant Contact retain unsubscribes and deletions and also include them in count of contacts. Please consider dropping upsubscribes and deletions from your customers database. There is no reason to retain this information with active/current information and it also makes it very difficult to navigate. This history could be moved to archives if one wanted to analyze.

Hi @HarlemO the good news is unsubscribed contacts aren't counted towards your billable contacts. They are retained in your account solely for your reference. Does deleting your unsubscribes help fit your needs of not seeing them in your account? With that said, what deleted email addresses are you seeing still be included in your contacts? We would be happy to take a closer look at any examples you may have.

Would Contant Contact please revise the practice of including deletions and unsubscribes in the total contacts? It is deceiving and not accurate. It also makes it difficult to determine the actual number of subscribers without doing the math.  What is the purpose of retaining contact information never to be used again? Please remove permanently from my account so I can tell at a glance the total number of subscribers.

Hi @HarlemO. Any contacts that have been removed from the account or have unsubscribed are not included in your monthly contact count. You can see the number of subscribed contacts by using the drop-down located under the Contacts tab.
