Maybe next time you're planning maintenance you could post a sizable warning on the login page beforehand so people have a chance to complete their email tasks before you shut down.
Shuttting for a couple hours is understandable , but very frustrating when no notice is given !
Considering this is a company involved in communication, I find it very disappointing
Thanks for pointing this out for the future. I am sorry for the frustration this caused you but appreciate your sharing the situation for us to use when we need to do maintenance in the future.
NEVER do maintenance around the first of the month when so MANY newsletters and announcement need to go out !!!!!!
