5MB Maximum for Attachment File Size is extremely low

5MB Maximum for Attachment File Size is extremely low

Please up your maximum file size for attachments (documents & photos). Currently you cannot upload a file larger than 5MB to attach to an email which is extremely inconvenient when you have well-designed trainings with multiple screenshots. Even after compressing my 13 page training it was 5.7MB, still too large. A simple Gmail account allows you to upload attachments that are up to 25MB, so only allowing for 5MB is very low. It's even more frustrating because our company is only using 9% of it's total available space, so there's plenty of room available for a couple larger attachments.

It is a tedious process to segment our list into separate files for the purpose of uploading. A max import size of 5mb would be extremely helpful!

We use Constant Contact to email catalog links to our customer base. It is extremely disappointing to see that you have reduced the document file size limit to 5 mb. This change makes it impossible for us to do business as we are accustomed, and may result in our finding another email service.

I have a very large list (175K+) and uploading it by having to break it into pieces takes FOREVER. Would like to be able to upload the entire list at once.

A 3mb file is reduced to 50k when uploaded making un-usable as a promotional image.

Hi LyndaS69

Thanks for posting. Can you open the file on your computer to chnage the size? What type of file are you working with?

Currently we can only upload documents to the library of up to 5M. It would be helpful to raise this limit to 5M.

Increase size of document uploads to library to 10M.

The file size of PDF's is creating serious issues. I can't reduce our reports any smaller than 5.12M and 5M is the minimum. This is ridiculous! Our organization has been very happy with Constant Contact, but it doesn't matter how much storage we have, if we can't store what we need to use. This has significantly impacted our usage and we are going to have to consider using an alternate product to meet our needs.

Most photos today are over the 5mb limit. Increase that to allow higher quality photos.

Are there any plans to increase the file size limit beyond 4 MB????

Please increase the size for uploading files to larger than 5mb. Thank you.

I understand that we're limited to storage space in the LIbrary, but why is the file size limited??
your 5 mb size is a real hindrance for me. how can this be corrected asap.

Thanks for posting!

I wish you could add an editing feature right in this upload location. It is really a pain to have to log out- go into photos, edit, log back in, etc. Our photographer sends us the larger high res files for printing purposes as we still print too.

This 2016, adjust the document upload capacity to allow document uploads of at least 250 M. When we hit the 1024M limit we can delete, but remove the goofy limitation per document.

I had a file that was over 5mb and the Support Team Member tried to compress it for me but your system could not handle that size file.  If you could possibilty increase your systems ability to do larger files that would be great.

The 5MB limit is out of date. Many photos are 8-10MB fresh off the camera. Other programs let me upload these without having to resize them. Yours should too.

I totally agree.  I have ONE flyer that is apparently over the 5MB "limit" and now I cannot send it!!  What year is CC in?  Files are getting bigger people. 5MB by today's standards is nothing.  CC you need to get your act together and get with the times!  Really disappointed!!

I'm confused. Our newsletters usually contain 3 pages. saved as either  pdf or png files . . . with at least one graphic on each page. Size  of the those files has never been a problem until today. Although the first page  had only 664 kb (.664 MB) I still had to  reduce the size in order to load it into the  library. The second page also is less than 5MB, but I've spent the last 24 hours  trying to get the library to accept it. The loading  icon just keeps spinning. Is there some way to delete  that process and start over. . .and will that take care of the problem?

Could the total number of items in the  Library be the problem?

I used to be able to upload PDF files larger than 5MB and they were shrunk into ipegs before automatically.

Now that doesn't happen. This change took place 2 days ago. What's going on with that?

I feel that 5 MB limit of upload file is pretty low. I am trying to send a compressed PDF file newsletter and unable to get it upload at below 5 MB limit otherwise the images would look terrible with blurry images if I had it compressed to below 5MB . I would suggest that we can increase to 10 or 15. The gmail allow us to send max of 20 MB, so why not Constant Contact?
All Star

We have been a long time Constant Contact customer and would like to see the document library max size limit increased past 5MB.  Most Email programs that are free allow 10, 20 or even 25MB of attachments.  Increasing the total size of the library does nothing as most of our newsletters start to creep into the 6, 7, 8MB range once pictures are added.  Reducing quality of the pictures, reduces the look and feel which is something we cannot compromise.

Its ridiculous that pdf file size is limited to 5mb and should be larger(even 9-10mb would be reasonable).
