Geographic filter

Our list sends out event announcements. It would be really nice to enable subscribers to select in their profile settings whether or not they want to receive emails for all region-specific events, or just events in their home city/state. Managing 50 state tags manually on the back end is too time-consuming. Besides, lots of people travel, so a filter based only on the city/state of the subscriber is not ideal. Why not let them pick from a dropdown list? Much better to let the subscriber decide what georef info s/he wants to receive.

Thanks for sharing this feedback. At this time the only way to do something like this would be by importing the location information in some way. Have you thought about using tags? This would allow you to exclude specific tags when you were sending but the information would need to be imported manually.
