Hi Kenneth,

Thanks for sharing this idea. There are a number of ways you could tell if the contact opted out on their own. First, in the reporting area of the email you would see a hyperlinked number of opt outs next to an email name. Once clicked on this would show the people who have opted out. If you wanted to drill in further, you could click the contact name and see in their engagement information if they opted out.

You could also view the engagement information by clicking the number of unsubscribed contacts on the left and then clicking into the contacts details.
