I would like to anchor a button to a section lower in the email; however anchoring is no longer listed as a capability. Is there a different way to anchor a button in Constant Contact?
Hello @DebbieH23,
We do not offer anchor links in our editor due to many email clients and devices no longer supporting them. I can see how this could be a useful feature for our customers but we want to have a product that works across all email clients and devices and having a feature that only works for a few is not desirable. I encourage you to view our post about why you should not include anchor links in your emails and what you can do instead to point your contacts in the right direction.

MY BAD! If I had known you didn't support anchors any more, I wouldn't have subscribed.
Hello @J2R2D2,
I understand how every business's needs are different and I'm sorry this feature is not available for you to utilize. I will certainly attach your desire for this feature to your account for the proper department to review. If you are considering cancelling your subscription please reach out to our Billing team at 855-229-5506. They are available 7AM to 9PM EST Monday through Friday.
Yep... that's a big issue for us too. Without Anchoring we are no longer able to use the program as originally intended.
Any idea if/when there might be a patch to make it compliant?
Hello @Al_Pahl,
I am sorry for any inconvenience. We do not have a concrete timeframe as to when this feature might be implemented in the new editor. As many email clients no longer support it on their interface, it is something we have to review for our future product road map.
Can you give me an alternative option for having 3 language versions in the same email?
We used to offer anchoring at the top of the email so that the reader could quickly get to the language of their choice.
Is there another way we can do this?
Hello @WIEGOW. I apologize for the delay in our reply! Although you would not be able to use anchoring for this purpose, what I can recommend is that you create three separate campaigns for each language. From there, you would to do a live send to at least one person in order to create a Short URL for the campaign. After that, you can create one main campaign and link back to each of those emails so your readers can click on the link that will bring them to the email in the language they prefer to read in.
Not sure what happened, but the three language question wasn't mine. However, I did have CC revert me to an older editor where Anchors are supported. I created one campaign using the old editor, and when I need to use anchors I simply copy that campaign and then revise. Warning: it is a little more difficult to create a link to an object such as an image using the older editor and there are some other limitations. Nothing I have found critical.
Hi @J2R2D2!
I see you got the answer to your question, and you were able to start working in our older editor. If you ever have any questions about it, like how to easily link images to documents/websites etc., just let us know! We'd be happy to answer any and all inquiries related to that editor. Thanks for reaching out to the community for your questions.
