It sounds like you may have used an access code instead of a discount code. If the fees for the registration are all set to "Everyone," when an access code is applied it will make that fee available to both registrants and guests. I would update the registration form so the free code is only available for registrants. That said, if you want to email us at social_support(at)constantcontact(dot)com with your username, the name of the event, and a reference to this post I can take a closer look and make sure there isn't something else going on.
