We have found that about 10% of the emails that bounce because Constant Contact considers them undeliverable are actually active, functioning emails whose owners do want to hear from us. As a result, I am hesitant to unsubscribe all the bounced emails because it is then a cumbersome process to add them back when someone contacts us and complains they are not getting our mails.
Could you offer the option to either Delete or Unsubscribe (rather than only unsubscribe) emails when viewing the bounce report? It would make life so much easier.
Thank you for the feedback! When you are viewing the bounce report, the option to remove will, as you mentioned, unsubscribe those contacts. However, if you click on the "Manage Tags" option, you can tag all of those bounced email addresses. Then, on the Contacts page, you can bring up all of those addresses marked as that tag, and delete them from the database, rather than unsubscribe.
If you know that some of those addresses are valid emails and should not be bouncing as suspended, you can give our Accounts department a call and ask them to remove the suspend on those emails. Creating an Excel list of those addresses would be helpful when you make that call.
