Almost a year later and this still isn't fixed. Why does CC insist on removing features? We were just moved to the 3rd gen editor, and lack of customization options is just awful.
Please stop dumbing down your product - we pay over $300/month (including a hefty price hike last year) and you keep reducing functionality rather than improving it. Maybe your smaller clients need a WYSIWYG editor, but your high volume clients have professionals in design and communication managing their email outreach - we don't want to need to look generic.
Hello @lmoffat,
Thank you for your response!
I am sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused you. Unfortunately, this is not a feature that has been added to the Third Generation Editor yet. We really appreciate your feedback, we are still collecting any customer feedback that we can to make sure that we can provide the best experience possible.
Keep in mind that if you want to use your own code, you are welcome to do this by visiting Campaigns>Create>Email and choose the option for Custom Code near the top right of the template selection page.
Thank you.
I need the m-dash, the n-dash, and the right single quote, please and thank you! I'd also really like to have back the ability to do tables so that I can have a row of clickable, linked pictures (think sponsor logos).
Thanks!
Melody
Hello @MelodyG9948,
Thank you for the feedback! We really appreciate all suggestions and requests to help us serve you better. We will be sure to submit this information to the appropriate teams for you. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.
HTML should be a feature of ALL editors, whatever the generation.
Thank you for getting back to us.
I absolutely understand your concerns and I will pass along this feedback on your behalf. In the meantime, please let us know if you have additional questions.
Thank you for using Constant Contact, have a great day!
Not having the ability to see the HTML in the 3rd gen editor is super frustrating. I don't use it often, but sometimes I need to go in and fix a few small things that were added a s a result of a copy-paste. Any word on whether this will be added? There are other email programs that still offer this as an option.
Hey @GrandonW,
I really appreciate you leaving your feedback in regards to editing the HTML code on our newer editor. Unfortunately at this time there are no updates on when this feature may become available. That said, we are passing along your feedback and any other feedback that we receive in regards to this feature request to our product team. I apologize that we do not have any additional information at this time.
Please let us know if you have additional questions and have a great rest of your day!
I just started using the Third Generation Editor today and I miss having a way to quickly look at the HTML code. For example, I wanted to add in a social button that doesn't currently exist in the 3rd generation (but did in the 2nd gen). I was trying to figure out what size your other social buttons are, so that I could match mine to what currently exists. However, without being able to access the HTML, it comes down to guesswork. Second example, same email: I've got one text box that keeps defaulting to Constantia, even though the design tools should set all the font as Garamond. Each time I've opened the campaign to make adjustments it defaults back to Constantia (and it's only the one text box). Being able to view and edit the HTML would be so very helpful.
Hello @LindaA23,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community with your feedback.
I apologize that the code view is no longer available on the new editor. This is something that we have received a lot of feedback about. I will pass along your feedback as another example of why our customers want this feature. In the meantime I do apologize for any inconvenience. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
Thanks!
