We have recently added the Contacts Segments tool that allows you to create a list of contacts that did not open any of your last 5 emails, a specific email, or any email.
I apologize that we do not have a tool that would automatically remove contacts who do not open nor a tool that would allow you with one click to remove those contacts. That is something that we are looking into but at this time, the only way to do this is a few step process.
Just a note...We only report opens as those that open in HTML version AND allow the images to be viewed. Your open rate may in fact be higher than what you are seeing and therefore some contacts may be opening but they are not being reported as so due to not viewing images. I know that with Outlook and Gmail, you sometimes have to click to allow images.

Hmmmmmm? OK..........I will try to follow your instructions.......and the image thing? I never would have given that any thought......but now that I think on it? Yahoo Mail does have that feature on every e-mail............sigh.

Here is a link to show how you can enable your email client (Yahoo, etc) to display images automatically without having to click that link every time you get an email.
You can always share this information with your contact base as well so that we can track that they do in fact open.

I believe that clicking on a link in an email even though the images are disabled also constitutes an open.

I came into the forum to ask this very question. I too want to delete people who are not opening my emails. I have averaged about 2400 contacts since signing up with CC. Yet, I only get about 10 - 15% opens depending on the topic. I have asked several people who also use CC what their open rate is and it seems to be the average across the board, which leaves me to believe a lot of emails are either not making it to the intended recipients, or are being dumped into spam folders automatically. Whatever the reason, I would rather pay for the 240 - 300 people who consistently open and forward my emails, than to pay for 2100, that are not. The extra $15 a month may not seem like much to some, but for me it is alot, x's 12 that's $180 a year I am flushing down the toilet.
This is why I will not recommend CC to others. I love everything else about the product but this issue is a deal-breaker.
I am trying to connect with a former co-worker who had a macro that allowed us to compare data in multiple rows of a spreadsheet, thereby isolating the "single" records. This woul make it easier to delete the unused emails adresses. If I get the info I was share. In the meantime, I'll do downloads, sorts, and then delete one-by-one.

I've been with CC for years now but seriously my list is too big (getting ready to hit 5000 and I'm not happy about paying more for a bunch of people who don't open) and filled with people who are just costing me money.
And I would just like to edit to say - if I have to download my list and weed through all the loafers I will DEFINTELY take it somewhere else as a nice, new, shiny, trimmed up list filled with people who love my product and don’t waste my money. Why WOULD I stay here when you guys made me work so freaking hard to get it that way? No sense.
I refuse to waste time going through a multi-step process for deleting inactive e-mails as was suggested from CC and will be seriously looking into other newsletter service that can do that and a few other things that CC doesn't integrate well.
FIX THIS ISSUE CC - OR I WILL BAIL.
I think a lot of us are starting to feel this way, which is a shame, as generally the service is good.
HOWEVER - I was niggled recently too, to have signed up for the survey programme,and cancelled it - as I was told I could - after sening the survey, only to find I can't actually view the results afterwards unless still signe up for it!
To be fair, I found out AFTERWARDS could have exported them into a spreadsheet before cancelling it, but why should we have to? I thought the whole point of CC was it was a one stop centre for seeing and storing the reults - we don't need to export the results of anything else to view it, and if we are an ongoing customer paying a monthly fee with this as an add on, surely we should be able to store results gained from a survey we paid for??
Maybe it is time to look elsewhere too..... :smileymad:
