I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with pasting text into that email. This issue could be the result of a couple things. First, when you create an email do you make a copy of a copy of a copy etc.? If so, there may be an issue with the template. Though copying your email a couple of times is not too big of a deal we have seen issues when the email is copied a number of times. To get around this we suggest creating a template that you never send. Simply leave the template as a draft and copy that draft when you need to send a new email.
Another thing that may be creating this issue is styles within the text that's being pasted. I highly suggest clearing the styles of that text before you paste it into Constant Contact. Click Here for more information on that process.
