Unsubscribe option

Can you add an option where if they click on unsubscribe, they can determine what types of emails they don't want? I have donors who want the newsletter but not a sales event.

Re: Unsubscribe option

Hi @kcervera,

Thanks for asking a great question! You'll actually want to direct your contacts to click the Update Profile link in order to change their subscription preferences. (Note: clicking Unsubscribe permanently removes a contact from your account and he/she won't be able to receive any emails from you.)

To access the Update Profile form, click List Growth Tools, find the Actions link for the Update Profile Form and select Edit:

Then scroll to find the section where you can select the email lists you want to display on the form. Your contacts can add or remove themselves from the lists you select here:

Re: Unsubscribe option

My question is still not answered. I didn't set up the email lists as different type of emails sent out. It was set up as different contact lists to send an email too. The majority of the contacts are one main email list. So that is the only list for them to uncheck which would mean they would be unsubscibing from all emails.

Re: Unsubscribe option

Hi @kcervera. With the Update Profile form, contacts are only able to select what lists they want to join and they are not able to remove themselves from lists, as contacts cannot see what lists they are currently on. This is only information that you can see in the account. They would have to contact you to remove themselves from a particular list. We are always looking for way to improve our contact tools and I will submit feedback for you.
