When a subscriber forwards an email received through our list, It opens by telling them it has been forwarded by [xxx-subscriber]. Then in the body of the email itself, the text at the top, which is inserted by Constant Contact, looks like it was "borrowed" from the text at the bottom of a regular campaign. It says:
"Please Note: You have NOT been added to any email lists. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, please contact [subscriber]"
Is there any way that I can set the text that will appear there? If not, maybe Constant Contact can change it to something that better reflects what it is. After all, telling them they have NOT been added to a list and then following that up with "If you no longer wish to receive..." definitely sounds like they have been on a list.
Maybe something like: "Please note: You have NOT been added to xxx-CC-customer's email list. If you do not wish to receive xxx-subscriber's forwarded messages, please contact xxx-subscriber"
Currently, there is not a way to adjust the wording on that part of the email. I am sorry for that. It makes a lot of sense to have it shown as you mentioned. Thank you for that feedback. I will make sure it gets to the proper channels!
