I have repeatedly unsubscribed a contact from our list, but he keeps becoming resubscribed. Our client is getting angry. My idea is that your software should do what it says it will do.

I'm very sorry for any confusion on the permission status of a contact. We're so glad you reached out because not only do we comply with the CAN-SPAM Act but we also have a very strict Anti-Spam Policy.


Once a contact is Unsubscribed, he is removed from any and all email lists in your account, and won't be able to receive emails you send through our system. Also, he cannot be added back into your account unless he personally re-subscribes through one of your sign-up tools.

Please note this is not the same action as simply deleting a contact from your account. A deleted contact can sign-up for your email lists again at any time.

We're happy to further investigate this situation in more detail if you'd like. Please send us an email to social_support(at)constantcontact(dot)com and include your username, the email address that has been unsubscribed and a reference to this post.
