We have competitors trying to sign up for our email offers in order to beat our pricing (it's a very competitive market in our city of independent wine shops). I want a way to permanently delete them after I catch them signing up.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community about your contacts. The good news is you do have the option to not only delete contacts from your account, but also mark them as unsubscribed. I would suggest unsubscribing these contacts you have mentioned. Once they are marked as unsubscribed the only way they can be added again is if the resubscribe process is initiated through your account.
However, these people can easily go opt in again themselves and complete the steps for re-subscribing without my knowing. And, as far as I know, I will not be notified of them as a new subscriber because they were previously subscribed. This is a feature you need to add. We should be able to block specific email addresses from subscribing.

I absolutely understand that it would be beneficial to restrict signups from specific email addresses. I apologize that this is not a feature that is currently available within our system. That said, you can receive notifications when someone signs up for your mailing list even if that address was previously an active contact. People who re-subscribe are not included in the email reports. At least they never have been in the past. Only new contacts or new email addresses show up in the reports. So there is no workaround for this issue. You need to add a feature to block email addresses from subscribing.

These updates will show you any contacts that subscribe/resubscribe or unsubscribe. If you are currently not receiving any notifications of resubscriptions, feel free to reach back out to us with an example of a contact that has resubscribed but has not been added to the report. At this time we do not have a feature that would allow you to block emails from subscribing to certain accounts, the best workaround would be to manually unsubscribe any competitor email addresses. Although this is currently a feature we do not provide, I will be passing along your feedback to the correct team for review. I can definitely understand how useful a tool like this would be for you.
