Keeping track of where referrals are coming from

How do you keep track of where your referrals are coming from? whether its from word of mouth, social media, newspaper ads, exc. Does Constant Contact have a way of keeping track of that?

If it's an email address we key in or upload from a file, we use a custom field to store the Source.


We also have flags we apply for some segmentation.  These aren't as specific as the values in the custom field.  But you could use them for tracking Sources as well.

Hello @MatthewO553. Constant Contact does keep track of the source where your contacts are coming from. This can be displayed on your Contacts page. We track your contacts as Added by You, Event, Text to sign-up, Web Sign-Up Form and Other App.




If you wanted to be more specific about where your contacts are coming from, like @mchristo said, you can add a custom field to track this more.
