QR codes within event ticketing be associated with individual tickets rather than whole group

Unless something has changed since the last time I used the event system, a QR code is generated for each ticket purchased within an order. However, any of these individual QR codes will check in the entire group rather than an individual from that group. I would like to suggest that either one QR code be provided for the whole group or that each QR code only check in one person rather than the whole group.
