Someone filled out survey under my email???

I create a newsletter for a promotion company and in our last email we included a survey to fill out. Last night when I went to check the survey responses I see MY email on the list. I check it out and see that the survey was filled out, and text responses were also typed in, but I did not do this.

How did this happen?

PS. This is my home computer, not a public one, and no one else lives with me.

Did you post your newsletter on a company web site?

If you did, and you did not take out the identifying information on the link to the survey, someone could have selected the link, which is personalized to you, and take the survey on your behalf.

This is the same problem faced by those who do not delete the near the bottom of the email with the "unsubscribe" link -- someone visits the page, clicks the link, and they are "mysteriously" unsubscribed!

thanks. so is that the difference between the following two links?

http://survey.constantcontact.com/survey/a07e2c1y2wbfiz3znts/start
&
http://survey.constantcontact.com/survey/a07e2c1y2wbfiz3znts/a001flr7is5l/questions

the link that ends in "start" is the generic one, which then turns into the link ending in "questions" which records your email?
