Create an Automated Abandoned Cart Reminder Email for Shopify Customers [Discussion]

Nick_S

If you have a Shopify store, you've probably had people who've added items to their cart but not purchased them. Some of these customers may have changed their minds about their purchase, but some may not have intended to abandon their purchase. Setting up an automated Abandoned Cart Reminder Email re-engages those customers who left your purchase flow and encourages them to follow through.

Start by connecting your Shopify account to your Constant Contact account. Once the accounts are synced, your Shopify contacts are added to your Constant Contact account, and you have access to the abandoned cart reminder email.

Nick, on Shopify we have different languages for our store.  In shopify, with the help of an additional language app, we can send the abandoned cart email in different languages based on the language that the abandoned cart occured in.  Would this be possible in Constant Contact connected to Shopify?  Constant Contact definitely has better tracking capabilities, whic is why it would be ideal to send the email from Constant Contact.

Hi @JasonT120

I understand how helpful it would be to change this email into a different language. I apologize; this is not currently an available feature. I have however submitted your feedback on this to our Product Team in the meantime. As a workaround, all of our email campaigns do allow you to copy and paste different languages from outside sources. I do however want to mention there is also only one abandoned cart email set per account. If you update this abandoned cart email to a different language, all other contacts will receive it as well.

Thanks for the reply @Frankie_P this feature would definitely be helpful.  Especially with the Shopify integration already there.  For websites with multiple langauages, if the “key” for which language site could also be imported from Shopify, it would give Constant Contact a variable to use to determine which language to send the email in.
