Daily E-mail / Web Broadsheet Newspaper

We've been a customer of Constant Contact for well over a decade and the companty is generally happy with the platform.

Now that we are in the midst of launching a new, groundbreaking Monday through Friday daily broadsheet newspaper, I wanted to find out if the platform would suport what we are going to do. To a great extent, I do know that BeeHiiv will support 95% of what we want and it falls short in automatically placing images based on how the original MS Word for Mac bersion is coded.

We want the reader to have several options with which to view the newspaper. One would be as a traditional broadsheet newpaper's front page - for example this layout - https://www.historic-newspapers.com/blogs/article/broadsheet-history

We also want the reader to be able to read it in a more responsive design perhaps a bit along the lines of this - https://campaignlp.constantcontact.com/em/1107787238370/fc584583-1309-4d07-9eac-5d181c7a7b06

We want the reader to be able to print the broadsheet on an A4 size piece of paper just (two really as it will probably be about that length).

At the same time, since each issue of the newspaper is a separate page, we need the copy to be on a web server.

We've used your design team to design several of our e-mail newsletter publications that we offer and have been very happy with the design team.  If this is all off-the-shelf now and just needs to be designed, we'd be (likely) thrilled.  If you like this idea, please note that we'd be happy to engage in discussions with your team. Finally, the preceding content is Copyright (C) 2001-2025 Accura Media Group LLC.

Many thanks. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi @davidg073. Looking at the example you provided, while you could replicate the view with multiple columns, the email would not display the same on a mobile device as all blocks would be stacked, so you would lose the traditional newspaper layout for those readers. Also, depending on the size of a screen, the text would be hard to read once it went into three columns and your readers on a desktop would need to do a lot of scrolling. Something to keep in mind.

Each email sent is not set by "page" like you experience with a newspaper. It is a continuous scroll, so you can not create breaks for printing.

Our Professional Services team does assist with template creation and you can work one-on-one with a designer to see what is possible.
