We are looking into breaking our main lists up into ones based on the interests of the recipients. So far, the best way I have come up with to do this is to send out an email that requests people to update their profiles using the link in the footer. To this end, we would first make new lists based on different interests and give these as options in the "Update Profile" form.
This seems like it could work for us, but we did have a question.
If a list is not given as an option in the "Update Profile" form and someone fills out the form, will they be removed from any lists that are not given as options?
We have a few lists currently that are for VIPs or certain exclusive groups that we would not want people to be able to sign up for using the "Update Profile" form, but we also do not want people from these lists to be removed from them if the update their profiles to receive fewer emails that do not interest them.
If this will not work how we are wanting it to, is there another way to do this that would work?
Hello @user6013 ,
Only lists included in Update Profile forms will display and be manageable by the contacts that click them. If you don't include a list in the UP form, they won't be able to see nor add/remove themselves from it.
Other options to do what you're wanting to do is to consider some of the following:
Hi William,
Thank you for the quick reply. One other question. Is there a way to change the logo that is used on the page that the "Update Profile" link in the footer takes you to? The organization we manage has changed logos, but the only thing close to this I can find to edit is the "Update Profile" email, not the page that people go to to confirm that they want to receive that email.
Thanks!
This is found in the "Legacy Landing Pages" section of the Sign-up forms page. Our main article on managing the Update Profile functions covers the editing process for this particular legacy form, which includes logo replacement.
Perfect! Thanks for your help!
