When our contacts click confirm subscription, it doesn't click through to a response. Therefore, they are still listed as awaiting confirmation. I presume we are missing a step someplace, but I cannot figure out what it is.
Thank you for any help!
Hello @ShirleyM67 ,
Is this happening with all contacts, or just contacts of a specific domain / organization? Are these contacts running any VPNs, ad/pop-up blockers, or other software that would potentially interfere with the click tracking, and prevent their confirmation from going through?
Are you asking about our domain, or that of our subscibers? I really don't know what the subscribers would have. When our one subsciber let us know that they couldn't click through, I did some research and I see that we have 164 email addresses listed as awaiting confirmation. It could be they just didn't click the confirm, or they, too, couldn't click it so they are still on the awaiting confirmation list.

Are the affected contacts all under the same domain (e.g. @CompanyName.com)? Have you explicitly reached out to these contacts to see if they've 1) clicked the confirmation link after being sent the email, and 2) are not running any software that would impact their connection (VPNs, ad/pop-up blockers, etc.)?
No, they are not the same domain. And no, we have not asked all of these people those questions. We just learned there was an issue this morning. I didn't know whether I was supposed to enable a link on the "Confirm Subscription" button that wasn't done when our automatic message went out.
If these were contacts you already had imported into your account prior to enabling Confirm Opt-In, and became Awaiting Confirmation after, then you'd want to send a Re-Confirm email.
If they're contacts that newly signed up via a sign-up form you created in our system, or that you manually imported after, then they'd have been sent the email automatically.
The applicable link is coded into the email, and cannot be edited, therefore it is already active when you have the COI email activated.
If the contacts are not seeing this page after clicking the link, then it means something on their side is blocking them from confirming their subscription, and they'll need to address that.
If they're simply not seeing the email, then they should check their spam/junk folders, and any other inbox folders (promotions, subscriptions, updates, etc.) to make sure their email program didn't erroneously sort the COI email into one of those.
Another thing to bear in mind is that you're not currently self-authenticated, despite having your own unique domain, which may be impacting your email delivery overall. I'd advise switching to self-authentication.

Thank you, William, for your help. You raised multiple issues that I am going to need to check into more...Hopefully, we will get this solved one way or another!
