Lead Generation Landing Page "Ended" - Need it reactivated!

We have a Lead Generation Landing Page that is showing as "Ended". We never set up an end date for it, so how did this happen, and how do we reactivate that link ASAP? I just sent it to a bunch of our members today that I'm working with to get resubscribed, not knowing it had been deactivated by Constant Contact. Now I'm getting angry emails from them. SO frustrating!

Hi @WEA-Cascade. Once a lead generation landing page is set as "ended", it cannot be reactivated. You copy the landing page and share the new URL for the page to your members who were not able to sign up using the original link

Thanks for your reply. We didn't set an end date for this landing page, didn't "end" the page manually, nor did we ask Constant Contact to end it for us. Constant Contact deciding to do this on their own has now created a huge issue. Please don't do this again for our other landing pages!

Hi @WEA-Cascade,

I am sorry to hear this happened. I did some digging and it looks like this is a known issue our engineers are investigating. We would not purposefully end/deactivate the landing page, especially without informing you first. It looks like we are still trying to identify the source of the issue, though. I will submit a ticket to our advanced support team that are looking into this. I believe I've identified the correct landing page, but the only outstanding question I would need an answer to is if you recall whether the ended landing page was copied from another landing page and if so, what the original landing page was? Otherwise, if it was original/created new, that's important to know, too. Thank you for your patience while we try to figure this out!

Two of our landing pages were ended without our knowledge - they were for NSEA and CUC. The NSEA one was definitely an original landing page, not a copy. I did create a new landing page for them this morning though, which is the link I will use going forward. However, if it is still possible to reactive the one that was deactivated, please do so as that link is still currently in several locations that will take some time to update and our members may still try to access it. The CUC page may have been a copy of the NSEA page, but I believe it was also an original to the best of my recollection. Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for that additional information! I will update the case and check with our advanced support to see if there is anything we can do, though the last time I looked at the issue report, it was just recommended to copy the deactivated landing page. I'll still check, though.

Actually, I just heard back from them. So, there isn't a way to reactivate the old landing page, unfortunately. Additionally, the old landing page is actually an outdated product, so when you created the new Sign-up Landing Page (it can be a bit confusing, but if you look on your landing pages... landing... page... you can see that the newest page is called a 'Sign-up Landing Page' and the old one was called 'Lead Generation Landing Page.') it won't have any of the hang-ups of the old the page, including the issue where it would auto-end without your consent.

OK. Thanks for the update. I was kind of wondering if this being an older landing page was part of the issue. I've already created a new one for NSEA this morning, and will work on updating the rest. Thank you again for your help!

You're very welcome! At least we have some clarity now and have a better sense with moving forward. Thank you for working with us on this. 🙂
