Getting Prospects to Respond to my CTCT Emails

I am having a very difficult time getting prospects to respond to my CTCT emails I send out promoting my business. I am a freelance copywriter. This is a long-standing issue (several years).  I would like some advice or help from this CTCT community (other writers) on how I can overcome this and get my business on track. It's no fun paying my fees to CTCT and not getting anything back (0% ROI).   Please advise or respond ASAP. This is the second time I have done this in the last 6 months. Thanks much.

Marketing Advisors don't really help. I pay for their services and still get the same results, NO responses to my emails.
