Local charity fundraiser

Does anyone have experience raising money for a charity whose primary event is an annual 5K? This is my 5th year and interest is dwindling. I have used Constant Contact for 4 years in a newsletter format with links to donate or register for the event, I have 2 events in October and need help with a last minute push. Also was thinking of posting a link to a Spotify play list. Can I do that????? Any/all feedback appreciated.
