Do you have any thoughts about including some personal information about the author in newsletters as a way to build relationships and get readership? Things like family history, background, education, likes, travels, preferences, etc.? Is it a good or bad idea. I am thinking it takes the bland out of pure business material. Thank you for responding!

Hello @DavidL201 ,

Generally speaking, anything they'd be willing to share, as well as accolades, job titles, or other elements relevant to the context of the writing would be good. It would work in a similar vein as that of author bios on books or at the end of news articles and op-eds. If the author of your newsletter's article has an About section on a website of theirs, or a relatively detailed social platform bio, you could also look to those for inspiration on what to include.
