Please critique my landing page

I am a long-time user of Constant Contact but new to the world of landing pages. I'd love your feedback - anything you think I could add to make this sizzle more?   Thanks in advance.  Feel free to write me directly via albert@albertideation.com or leave comments below.

Hi Albert! I like that your landing page is so clean and simple. I see that the March 20 and April 11 dates hyperlink to the event pages, but consider something to point out that fact. Additionally, consider including the event times in the body of the event page. Something like this may work:

I also recommend adding the price and to the body copy in case someone overlooks that in your logos.

Hope this helps, and good luck with your events!

Thanks so much, Jskeel - I am going to make those changes and I also added in links to Constant Contact-related things to give the page a bit more color.

Hi Albert!

  • I love your logo design, it's really neat.
  • I would add some lines about what benefits people will get attending your event because at the moment it's very vague, you're going to share your knowledge (which is a feature) but how does that help me the participant? 3 benefits is a good number.
  • I'm also a little confused with the Constant Contact logo and 30% off first 3 months because it looks like the buy now button relates to that offer not the event, so I would remove that and just focus on the event.
  • Instead of the button saying BUY NOW, which kind of infers you're buying a product, I would make that BOOK NOW - which is more usual language for booking an event.
  • I would remove the CTCT ad at the bottom as well, as that again distracts from your event, and in its place I would add some blurb about you and why people should listen to you with a bio picture of you to make you more 'real'.
  • I would also repeat the BOOK NOW button underneath.

Hope that helps and good luck with the event

Great ideas every one of them! I will make those changes - I keep trying things to see what works.  I'm loving the new landing page feature!

Me too! I would like to see shorter URLs for the landing pages that would make it really good.

Vee, I often will use a url shortener = easiest one for me to remember is tinyurl.com - but you're right - they could be shorter.

Hi Albert,

Looks like you've implemented some good suggestions from other contributors. Your landing page is looking very nice. Regarding URL shorteners, if you have a website independent of your Constant Contact landing page (maybe albertideation.com ?), you can easily create an HTML redirect with a little bit of HTML code uploaded to your website to create a shorter URL for your links that uses your website name in the link rather than tinyurl's website name. You don't need any special software to create it. I just type them in Notepad & then upload them to my website using a free FTP Client. Not sure if that it something you want to do or not, but when I need a shorter URL I prefer to put our company's name in the URL rather than tinyurl's name. It looks more customized and promotes our brand rather than TinyURL's brand. You can google HTML redirect for some examples of the code, or you are welcome to reach out to me and I can email you the code I use. Something to think about anyway,

Thanks, Christine - that's an interesting idea, thank you.  Since the URL is generally the link under some text, I'm not too concerned with that... And, I'm also a one-person outfit, so the fewer steps = better on my end. But let me give that some thought.
