contacts and lists

We have 2 lists of contacts in the system that I see, totaling 5110 subscribers. Yet our contact page shows 12, 534 of subscribers. I can't figure out what the difference between the # of total subscribers, and total subscribers in lists. Any ideas?

It looks like you already called in, and got assistance figuring out your contacts. However, for the sake of visibility we wanted to include the information here as well.

Likely what's happening is that some contacts are not on any lists. You can easily view this by changing the list status view:

Additionally, All contacts will include unsubscribed contacts as well as subscribed ones, so there can be some discrepancies there as well.
