I've made connections with several elderly neighbors to handle digital ordering of supplies and food for them. Many feel intimidated by technology and assume they have to go out for takeout, groceries etc. This allows me to help them and also helps local restaurants and stores they order from.
They also enjoy the care and interaction (though remote)
I love this idea. Are you connecting with them in person (albeit at a safe distance), or are they comfortable enough to coordinate with you over email or other medium?
It's a bit of a mix. For some, we actually have their numbers and I communicated via text and then email. For others who know us but for whom we had no contact info, I wrote a note and put it on their door. It's only a handful, but I know they appreciate it.
