We have logic built into any of our editor pages (emails, sign-up forms, etc) to hide certain elements of the user interface. In the case of the standard footer on our other pages, it is hidden in the editor to allow the editor to take up the full page. Other elements that are hidden include banners and other in-product notifications.
All of this is done with the goal of cleaning up the editing experience and allowing you to focus on what you are creating. As an example, at the bottom of the email editing pane, you will see your email footer as it will be sent to your subscribers. This cleaner interface makes it clear that the footer we have in our product with our various terms and conditions links is not a part of your email. We believe this design offers a superior editing experience and is not intended to hide anything in bad faith. The Contact Us and Help panels can still be activated from within the email editor if additional help is needed when editing, and the standard footer with the Have Feedback link will still be shown on every page in the UI besides the editor.
