Cancel online

I am frustrated that I can't simply cancel my account online. You can easily take our payments and change payments but you make it difficult to cancel our account; I have to contact during business hours and you don't have customer support during the weekends?! This makes me not want to use constant contact in the future.

Why can't I cancel my account online. I can only call the US to do this and I live in Australia. This is supposed to be a tech company but lacks the basics to do what is needed online. I suspect this is deliberate to stop you from canceling your account without difficulty.

Agreed.  Absolutely ridiculous.  I went to cancel and found this community through a google search when I was unable to cancel online.  ARGH.  Seriously CC?  Get it together.  I was only going to cancel temporarily and return in 60 days when I can refocus on my business but now I have no intention of returning.

This is absurd. I will never resume my account based on this absolutely ridiculous hoop jumping phone call requirement to cancel my account. Get it together constant contact. Not cool. Too many other options to choose from. Learn from your feedback and make the change. Period. Done.

For anyone who pays via Paypal, simply deactivate your monthly payments via PayPal. Constant Contact want to make it totally inconvenient to close your account. So just do it via Paypal instead and end the payments.

Not allowing customers to cancel online and forcing us to CALL YOU to give you feedback is a waste of time. IF we want to call you to give you feedback we will. If we want to cancel we should be able to do this online and not take our VALUABLE time to call you and hang on the phone with a rep to simple stop our credit card from being charged. ENOUGH with scam already.

I really dislike the fact that i cannot just cancel my plan. They want to kept your account auto paid and i don't agree with it. The fact that I have to call to cancel is ridiculous. I don't have time to wait on hold and discuss this. I just want my account canceled and this company doesn't care and just wants money. Would not recommend.

Your website says I can call to cancel my account until 10 pm ET.  Not true.  The recording says 8 pm ET.

 

I should be able to cancel on-line.

I called to cancel my subscription because I was closing my business. A billing support team member stated I had unused "non-use" credits good for seven months of service (first I heard of this). I stated I wanted to cancel anyways. He put me on hold for about five minutes. When he came back on, he said "your all set." I asked, "so you canceled my account." He said again, "you're all set." I asked if there was a confirmation number or email. He said no. His vague responses left me with an uneasy feeling that it was not canceled. However, under the 'My Account' there was confirmation my account was scheduled to be cancelled. While the service could have been better, I was able to cancel my subscription and get confirmation in less than 10 minutes.

Yes, I agree! I love the product but need to cancel at this point. I don't want to have a call to cancel....most of us business owners do this work in the evenings and weekends when we don't have time to cancel this during the day! We just want to be able to buy products and cancel easily to suit our business. Unfortunately, making things hard to cancel is done by lots of others too...

I'm pretty unhappy that I am not just able to cancel my account. I did not even realize this account was still open and I have been charged $45 a month for who knows how long. I am no longer using it and now I have to try to remember to cancel. You should have the option to cancel the account available WITHOUT me having to make a phone call. That is my opinion as the owner of my own marketing agency. PERIOD.

I created an account just to see if your service would suit my needs in building a one-off email for a family member. Sign-up was unnecessarily involved, you don't have categories for artists or art exhibitions, and your service isn't good for just building a one-time template. Also, you need to have a very easy button within your account settings platform to delete a user account.

being one of the known email marketers, you must have an online cancellation process. Your delivery issue sucks, so is your cancellation process. You make it hard for us to cancel subscription. Why is there a need to call your billing department? you are doing good in the easiness, flexibility of your apps for business used, why not make it easy in all aspect, cancellation included. I like your app except the cancellation process

I AM SO AGGRAVATED ABOUT MY SERVICE NOT BEING CANCELLED. I CALLED LAST MONTH TO HAVE MY SERVICE CANCELLED. THE REP SAID THEY WOULD COMPLETE THAT REQUEST AND THAT I WOULD GET A CANCELLATION EMAIL CONFIRMATION. NOW I SEE THAT I WAS BILLED AGAIN FOR THIS SERVICE THAT I HAD ALREADY REQUESTED TO CANCEL. We enjoyed using CC but haven't used it in months. I'm currently on the line trying to cancel our account. Was just transferred for the THIRD time. Each time, I was asked to spell my name and give my email address to confirm my identity. If we were previously inclined to restart with CC at a later date, this poor customer service experience has wiped out any possibility of that. The folks at the helm of CC should be ashamed of themselves.

Is there a grievance department or a kind of app maker organization to make constant contact be banned or be punish or be replimand to make subscription cancellation be online and not by phone line? I am just testing this app and not yet a subscriber and yet cancellation is very hard to do, how much more if you have a problem with their billing like refunds etc....... better not to use or partonize this app constant contact. ..... it should be constant nigthmare

I've been on hold for well over 15 minutes (even though I was quoted at 2) I am trying to cancel, so my assumption is that is why I am still waiting. I had hold music for about the first 10 minutes, but it's since gone silent. I will call my credit card company to cancel if not taken care of. 

 

I was JUST hung up on. Now I'm very upset. I'm calling back a second time. This is very disappointing.

This sucks that you take us through the ringer to wear us out hoping that we will hang up the phone and keep your plan. That is bordering on unethical and I’m going to ask the BBB as well as the NY IG to investigate this practice.

Hello I am not feeling positive eaobut your product. I signed up to try out the 'free' account with a view to cancelling payment if I felt I needed. I want to cancel the account and am shocked that there is no cancellation button or email form (for an organisation that specialises in email!). This does not seem up front and fair play to me. Please fix this if you want to build trust and a positive brand.

My free trial hasn't ended yet but they automatically deduct money from my account ($20). It's terrible. I have sent multiple emails to ask for a refund and cancel my free trial account but I haven't got any replies!!! I can't think there is a business working like that. As usual, subscription cancellation is always easy.

The fact that you require a customer to call to cancel an account is poor customer service.  Your rep then went on with 20 questions.  I will make sure the account is closed through my credit card provider.  #fail

Dear community. I am from Germany, currently in the process of cancelling my account. I have been on the line now for 30 minutes, having been transferred to the 3rd agent, who now transfers me over to another agent. This is totally unacceptable. Besides - the phone number given for the German customer service does not even work anymore.

I actually are totally shocked and will certainly never use this service every again.
